Big Ben's Corner

Some call him a Bocce Bum, but his wine drinking friends affectionately call him the Cork Dork! Ben is a Level Two Master Sommelier certified with the Court of Master Sommeliers. His passion for wine has continued to advance and he is always seeking out new, exciting wines to add to Campo di Bocce’s ever-evolving wine list.

Featured Wine of the Month

Ben’s featured wine of the month is La Rochelle’s 2006 Pinot Noir, Classic Clones. At the 2008 Taste of Terroir - Livermore Valley's Wine & Food Experience, Chef Michael Wogen of Campo di Bocce of Livermore created a lamb stuff squash blossom tamale that paired deliciously with this wine and earned the award of MOST INNOVATIVE PAIRING. This wine shows off aromas and flavors of black and red cherry, rhubarb, cola nut, and orange oil.
